Frogwares has announced a release date and shared a whole new deep dive gameplay showcase for the upcoming Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One. There’s also some good news for gamers as the publisher has decided to keep the game’s price at last-gen’s price point without increasing it as most publishers are doing.
Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One will release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on 16 November. However, keep in mind that Frogwares has delayed the PS4 and Xbox One launch until 2022.
The devs have also published an extensive narrated gameplay deep dive video. Get a taste of the opening quest and a deeper look at certain features of the game – such as the Mind Palace, the Holmes family mansion, how combat plays out, and also the various difficulty options that let you tweak or even turn off certain elements such as combat entirely.
Users who pre-order Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One will receive the Victorian Starter Pack which includes a special quest called “The Lead Zeppelin”. The pack also comes with a unique Consulting Detective and The Victorian Vampire in-game outfits and 500 Manghirs (the currently on the island). The pre-order offer also includes a free digital copy of Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishment on the same platform where they pre-order the game.
The Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One Deluxe Edition includes the base game and a season pass. The season pass adds new quests to the game called Saints and Sinners. Frogwares is also working on an expansion set to release at a later date that focuses on Sherlock’s encounter with a shadow figure known as M.
