Out of nowhere, Konami has announced a special Silent Hill Transmission stream set to kick off this week. The live stream will host announcements and updates related to the Silent Hill series which will likely include new game reveals as well as updates on the various TV shows in development.
This Silent Hill Transmission stream has been a long time coming. We have reported on Silent Hill rumours for over two years already as rumours of the series’ comeback have been making waves in the industry. This is the first time in a very long time that Konami will share a public update on the series and fans can’t wait to see what is going to happen.
The Silent Hill Transmission stream will kick off on 19 October at 23:00 CAT / 2 PM PDT / 10 PM BST. According to the announcement, fans can expect multiple updates on the series. The announcement says “in your restless dreams, do you see that town?”.

It is all but confirmed right now that this Silent Hill Transmission will play host to a remake of Silent Hill 2. The game is reportedly in development by the Polish developer Bloober Team. There are also rumours of a whole new sequel in development under the management of Masahiro Ito.
Let’s not forget about the so-called “playable demo” which is reportedly also set to be announced during the stream. This demo has been compared to the likes of P.T and will tie into one of the many new games in development in the series.
At the moment it is hard to tell exactly how many of these announcements we are going to see. However, even a few is better than having years of no new Silent Hill content to enjoy. I say it is about damn time.
