Skull and Bones Release Date Seemingly Leaked

It seems that the release date and pre-order bonuses for Skull and Bones, the pirate-themed action title from Ubisoft, have been leaked. The leak comes from the updated Xbox store listings for the game where it was visible that there will be missions, a digital soundtrack and an artbook available as pre-order bonuses.

According to Aggiornamenti Lumia, who has regularly reported listings added to the Windows and Xbox stores before going live to the public, claims that the final release date for Skull and Bones will be the 8th of November, 2022.

The report seems to coroborate with what reliable insider Tom Henderson has said when reporting for TryHardGuides.com, stating that the publisher is set to show gameplay and reveal more details regarding the pirate-themed title in early July. It is believed that at this showcase, Ubisoft will then reveal the official release date for Skull & Bones as well as the pre-order bonuses mentioned earlier.

The game’s latest leak came from the ESRB rating which also showed the game’s official description, which could also indicate that Ubisoft is gearing up for a launch before the end of the year, rather than its initial confirmation of “by mid-2023”. The rating seemingly confirms that Ubisoft’s upcoming title will not launch on PS4 or Xbox One, and will focus on launching on current-gen hardware, including the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Google Stadia.

Again, these are still rumours, and nothing has since been confirmed so it is worth taking this with a pinch of salt. You can read our preview of Skull and Bones here.
