Slitterhead, the upcoming horror game from Bokeh Game Studio and Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama, will get its first gameplay footage at Summer Game Fest this Friday. The game was initially announced at The Game Awards back in 2021 but we’ve heard little about it since then. Geoff Keighley has now confirmed that we’ll be getting our first look at some proper gameplay and hopefully it’s accompanied by a release date.
Geoff Keighley took to Twitter/X to confirm that Slitterhead will get its gameplay world premiere at Summer Game Fest tomorrow. Little is actually known about the game so it will be great to get our first details on what kind of horror experience it will be and whether or not it will follow a similar style and tone to the Silent Hill franchise. Alongside the news, Keighley also dropped what appears to be the first key art for the game.
Konami is in the middle of a Silent Hill franchise resurgence right now with Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake, Annapurna Interactive’s Silent Hill: Townfall and NeoBards Entertainment’s Silent Hill F. However, since breaking away from Konami to establish Bokeh Game Studio, Keiichiro Toyama brought with him a lot of the talent from Team Silent that originally worked on the first four games in the series. Basically, Slitterhead might be a true successor to Silent Hill but we’ll have to see how it shapes up.
Don’t miss the gameplay world premiere of SLITTERHEAD, from the mind of Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama and @BokehGameStudio during #SummerGameFest live this Friday.

Summer Game Fest will feature over 55 partners from companies such as PlayStation, Xbox, WB Games, Sega, Ubisoft, EA Games and more. Recent reports claim that we’ll get reveals for Borderlands 4 and possibly Dragon Age: Dreadwolf at the show.
Ahead of tomorrow’s event, Keighley tempered expectations by confirming that a majority of games shown at the showcase will be upcoming titles releasing later this year, so don’t expect any major surprise drops releasing in 3-4 years time. Tune into Summer Game Fest on Friday, 7 June at 11PM CAT.
