Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Movie New Characters End

Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Gets March 2027 Cinema Release Date

The fourth Sonic movie has been dated just a month after the third movie debuted in cinemas. Paramount seems eager to milk the franchise for all its worth and will release Sonic the Hedgehog 4 in cinemas on 19 March 2027.

The news comes from Variety, who clarified the release date after Paramount used a placeholder of “Spring 2027”. If you watched the third film, you likely know that the post-credit scene opened up the story a bit more and hinted as to where it could go from here. Paramount likely has a number of sequels planned already.

The movie series has been widely popular since its debut in 2020. This is, of course, after Paramount completely canned the original fugly Sonic design. There’s little chance that the movie series would be on its fourth film now if the production company stuck to its guns and kept that horrid creature. Can you imagine what Shadows, Tails, and Knuckles would have looked like?

Since its debut, the Sonic the Hedgehog movies have introduced new video game characters voiced by some rather iconic actors. The third film brought Keanu Reeves as Shadow. He joined Idris Elba as Knuckles. Speaking of Knuckles, the character has even had his own spin-off TV series.

It is exciting to see where the movies are going. With the teased characters, it will be interesting to see how they end up being cast to play them in the fourth film. We still have two years to wait for it, so practice a little patience, my little Chao.

If you haven’t watched Sonic the Hedgehog 3 yet, you can pick it up digitally. The film launched yesterday alongside Nasferatu on major rental and digital services.
