The news of a Sonic The Hedgehog movie sequel comes as no surprise. The film was a massive hit worldwide earning $70 million in its first four days of release in February 2020. However, the movie did get some nasty feedback when it was first revealed due to Sonic’s design. Thankfully, Paramount delayed the movie in order to fix the design feedback. However, the ending of the original movie set a path for any possibility of going forward. Jim Carrey will return as Dr Robotnik alongside Ben Schwartz voicing the adorable blue hedgehog.
