Sonic X Shadow Generations has received new gameplay at Summer Game Fest along with a confirmed release date of 25 October 2024. Interestingly, physical copies of the game will sell for only $49,99, which is a bit cheaper than what you would normally pay for AAA games and especially from big publishers like Sega.
The gameplay for Sonic X Shadow Generations unites two of the most iconic mascots of the franchise in a platformer adventure title that’s sure to excite fans of both classic and new Sonic styles. The release date of 25 October means it’s not too far out from release, though those who pre-order the pricier digital deluxe version of the game will get three days early access and some additional bonus items.
The official description for Sonic X Shadow Generations reads, “Shadow the Hedgehog is back and teaming up with Classic and Modern Sonic in Sonic X Shadow Generations, an all-new collection featuring two unique experiences! Play as Shadow the Hedgehog in a brand-new story campaign, and tackle iconic 2D and 3D stages as Classic and Modern Sonic in a newly remastered version of Sonic Generations.”
