Sonic X Shadow Generations is set to launch later this year, giving players a blast of nostalgia with Sonic and Shadow teaming up once again. Players will be able to play as Sonic, classic Sonic and Shadow but the game’s Japanese website has accidentally leaked the possibility of a fourth playable character.
As discovered by Twitter/X user TailsChannel, the Japanese website for Sonic X Shadow Generations features an image that suggests a fourth playable character will be featured in the game. The fourth slot is blank with a “coming soon” listed under it. Many have theorised that the fourth mystery character could be a familiar face such as Tails, Knuckles, Amy or even Silver. Others have speculated that it might be a new classic design for Shadow to match Sonic’s classic design.
Either way, it seems like players will be able to play as more than just Sonic and Shadow in the upcoming game.
The Japanese #SonicXShadowGenerations site showcases both sides of the game, interestingly teasing that another character may be playable (?) in Shadow Generations 👀
