Sons of The Forest was released last week into early access and it has sold a load of copies since. According to its developer Endnight Games, Sons of The Forest sold over 2 million copies within its first 24 hours on Steam. The game has even surpassed blockbusters like Hogwarts Legacy and Warzone as the fifth-most-played game on the platform this weekend.
If you don’t know, Sons of The Forest is the successor to The Forest which was originally released on PC and PS4 in 2018. The game is in early access and Endnight Games plans to leave it there for 6-8 months as they tidy up the development.

The game follows players as they explore a remote island in search of a billionaire who has gone missing. However, the island turns out to be infested with cannibals. Players need to craft, build and survive either alone or with friends. Sons of The Forest is an open-world survival horror simulator that features an ever-changing world thanks to its unique seasonal gameplay.
