Sony Announces New State of Play – When and Where to Watch

Last month, an internal memo leak suggested that the next big State of Play from Sony that PS4 fans can look forward to would happen on 1 November. That might still happen, but we really didn’t expect big announcements this month. Now, Sony has announced a new State of Play that will take place next week, on 24 September 2019 and it all sounds very exciting, especially since it takes place on the same day as the media event for The Last of Us Part II.

The new State of Play seems to be one of the biggest ones yet (except for the first one) and will last over 20 minutes, featuring new game announcements, new content from PlayStation Worldwide Studios and a whole lot more. For those hoping for a next-gen announcement, don’t hold your breath as Sony has made it clear in their announcement that you won’t see anything of the sort.

It is still very exciting to know that next week, a new State of Play will take place and no PS4 owner should miss out on it. With that in mind, the show is scheduled to kick off on 24 September 2019 at 22:00 SA time and you can watch it live on , , , and

Sony explained in a new PlayStation Blog post that:

This is going to be one exciting show to watch and thankfully, it isn’t too late in the evening for South Africans, especially since it is a public holiday on the 24th as well. We will, of course, keep you updated with everything from the State of Play.
