Sony has launched its new Live From PS5 marketing campaign to celebrate the end of stock shortages. The company says that globally, the PS5 should be readily available for all gamers to pick up thanks to the increased supply of the hardware. The news arrives just weeks before the gaming giant is set to release its anticipated PlayStation VR2 technology on the platform.
The Live From PS5 marketing campaign follows the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 advert this morning that featured the same new bulletin approach. The idea behind the marketing is to seamlessly merge news reports into PlayStation video game franchises as if we were watching news bulletins reporting on the events.

A new live-action trailer, which is absolutely packed with cool things to see, shows this off. Throughout the clip, you’ll spot all sorts of iconic PlayStation games. There are pyramid ships from Destiny, Aloy from the Horizon series and much more.
Apart from that, Sony has also launched global activations where the company has set up certain objects around busy cities. These objects are accompanied by “Live From PS5” news vans. An example of this is the giant Leviathan Axe spotted in London. The axe looks as if it has been slammed into the ground next to River Thames. There’s smoke coming out of the ground and cool lighting effects.
There might be other activations around the world but they haven’t been shared online yet.
