After the huge success of Venom and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Sony is determined to continue working on Marvel properties including movies and TV for at least seven years to come.
Sony Pictures Entertainment chairman Tony Vinciquerra and Sony Pictures Television chairman Mike Hopkins chatted about the plans for Spider-Man related content for the years ahead in an interview with Variety.

“We have the next seven or eight years laid out as to what we’re going to do with that asset, and that will not only be on the film side — it’ll be on the TV side. Our television group will have its own set of characters from within that universe that we will seek to develop.”
Hopkins claims that the television side of things is already far in development and they are already working with characters that could be their own star of a series. Hopkins went on to say that the Marvel-related content will be out in the market pretty soon and teased something “really, really big and transformational” coming our way.
Sony seems to be creating several shows that they want to tie into a universe and that “pollinate between each other”. They are also working with an unnamed partner to make that dream come true. Hopkins did not confirm nor deny any streaming partner being involved in the projects but it could be the new Disney+ or even Netflix of Hulu.
We know that Sony has a few films in development including Morbius, Black Cat, Silver Sable, Kraven the Hunter and Silk and the studio plans to release two Marvel movies in 2020, one of them being Morbius and the other a Venom sequel.
