Sony announced a few days back that they will be hosting a special State of Play stream today where the company will reveal new titles, announce release dates for current in-development games and touch on more news about upcoming and current PlayStation content.
The State of Play is basically the same thing as Nintendo’s Direct stream so if you have ever tuned into those, then you know what to expect. Sony’s move to this media will give them a platform to showcase everything “PlayStation” without the need to host a special event for it.
Sony will not be at E3 2019 so this could be the start of a few upcoming State of Play streams where they will touch on new announcements. Sony revealed that they will be hosting a couple of these in the coming months with the first one taking place this evening at 23:00.

You can tune into the stream tonight from 23:00 South African time over on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter or Facebook where Sony will host their first-ever State of Play event. No one knows how long it will be or what Sony will be showcasing but speculation points to some Death Stranding news as well as Days Gone which is releasing in just a month. We could also possibly see a release date for other upcoming titles such as The Last of Us Part II, Concrete Genie and finally Dreams?
What do you think Sony will be showcasing this evening? Let us know in the comments below.
