The State of Play will host three big games during the stream being Death Stranding, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and The Last of Us Part II. We already knew the sequel to Naughty Dog’s 2013 smash hit would release sometime in early 2020 but it seems the launch month is now May 2020.
The memo reveals Sony plans on skipping any news on Ghost of Tsushima as it is still too early to show more. However, development of the game is going well but it has also suffered multiple delays due to some technical issues faced with the PS5 port of the game.
Sony’s plan for the months ahead is to focus on the two big titles namely Death Stranding and The Last of Us Part II. The company will then shift focus and concentrate on Ghost of Tsushima for its next upcoming PlayStation Meeting in February 2020 where they plan on announcing the PS5 console.
From what we know from the massive PS5 reveal date leak which you can read about here, Sony will release both The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima on the PS5 when it releases sometime in 2020.
For now, take this as a rumour until it has been confirmed. Everything points to a new State of Play taking place on 1 November 2019 where more Last of Us Part II will be seen along with a couple of other new announcements.
