Soulja Boy recently revealed his own gaming consoles. Many in the gaming community started accusing him of copyright and licensing infringements for the games the artist claimed could run on his consoles. Now, Soulja Boy has defended his gaming consoles and even claims to be working on another gaming console, will he says can run Fortnite.

After being accused of some dodgy dealings regarding his recently released gaming consoles, Soulja Boy appeared on the Everyday Struggle Show to defend his questionable quest to conquer the gaming market. His website – Soulja Watch – had a ton of seemingly unlicensed products from smartwatches to the aforementioned gaming consoles. By the end of last year, he was forced to shut his site down, pulling all of these products. But that doesn’t have seemed to slow Soulja Boy down.

In the show, the artist claims that his range of products – which includes two different Soulja Boy consoles at pretty premium prices – are perfectly legal and valid. He even suggests that Nintendo has expressed interest in working with him on something gaming related in the future.

He claims that the gaming consoles are not a scam and that he made $1 million off of his controversial gaming consoles in one day.

It’s not a scam. Every game on there is licensed. There [are] 800 pre-installed games that are licensed. I sold a million dollars in one day, and Nintendo approached me […] because they’re trying to see what the fuck is going on. This young black kid made a million dollars in 24 hours and our games are on his console, we want in!

Soulja Boy then went on to explain that he is working on a new console, which will be able to run Fortnite. Unfortunately, Epic Games (the developer of Fortnite) wasn’t having it. In a statement, Epic Games refuted Soulja Boy’s claims that you’ll be able to play Fortnite on his next gaming console.

No, you can’t play Fortnite on a rooted or jailbroken device due to anti-cheat measures.

Seeing as Epic Games doesn’t currently have a licensing deal with Soulja Boy to allow him to run Fortnite on his next console, you probably won’t be able to play it legitly, as the artist has promised.
