After the news broke yesterday of Marvel and Sony’s split from the Spider-Man film series, a handful of Marvel actors took to Twitter in response to the fallout. Heroic Hollywood reports Tom Holland unfollowed Sony across social media yesterday after the news broke. Jeremy Conrad supposedly noticed the movement on Tom’s Twitter account. Holland has yet to speak publically about the news in regards to his character.

Many other stars have taken to social media to react to the news including Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds asking his fans to help him save the Spider-Man series. Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner also took to Instagram and stated Hey @sonypictures we want Spider-Man back to @therealstanlee and @marvel please, thank you #congrats #spidermanrocks #please”

But the most over-the-top reaction has to be the Marvel fans which are threatening to boycott Sony and the PlayStation brand due to this failed negotiation. The #BoycottSony has been gaining traction across social media with some hilarious tweets from Spider-Man fans

Some fans have even gone as far as to list all the upcoming Sony films asking people to simply stay away and not watch them.

Still, Sony does not plan on killing the series at all. The company is confident they have a strong character with Holland at the helm and plan on releasing a few new films in the years to come. Spider-Man is not dead… well unless Sony makes a terrible film which the company has a history with, especially when it comes to the Spider-Man series.
