Insomniac Games released a new update for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PS5 which enables a new performance mode for the game. Now, instead of being locked between either a 30FPS mode with ray-tracing or a 60FPS mode without it, the new mode runs at up to 60FPS with ray tracing.

According to Insomniac Games, the new mode adjusts the screen resolutions, reflections quality, and pedestrian density in order to run at 60FPS with ray tracing enabled. This means during intense moments with a busy scene, the game’s resolution may drop but you will still be able to see Spider-Man reflected in the window.
This new Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales graphics mode is for those who want to keep the game’s performance at the max but also don’t mind dealing with some drops in visual quality at the same time. It is a welcomed addition to the game especially given how players were previously locked at 30FPS when they wanted to make use of the ray tracing features.
It goes without saying that the mode is only available on PS5 and is patched into the game with the recent 1.007 update. If you don’t know how great Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is then catch up on our review of the game here. We think you will love it. Especially given the fact that there’s a new graphical mode to enjoy now.
