Developer Hazelight Studios has released the new update 1.400 for its latest co-op adventure game, Split Fiction. The update aims to fix several mission bugs that players have reported over the past two weeks, highlighting certain missions that prevented players with high frame rates from either progressing or not being able to trigger some functions.
First and foremost, the rolling wheel in the “Royal Palace” mission of Split Fiction has now been fixed. Apparently, players with more than 150 FPS reported that the wheel simply wasn’t moving fast enough to complete the puzzle. Elsewhere, Hazelight Studios also fixed an issue in the “Down the Rabbit Hole” mission where the magnetised harpoon failed to take into account camera sensitivity settings. The update is now available on all platforms.
Have a look at the full list of patch notes for update 1.400 below:
- Fix the rolling wheel in “Royal Palace” not moving fast enough to complete the puzzle when playing with more than 150 FPS
- Fix the magnetized harpoon in “Down the Rabbit Hole” not taking into account camera sensitivity settings for aiming
- Fix not being able to stand inside the big pots in “The Legend of the Sandfish” (very important for immersion)
- Fix several minor visual glitches and pops visible during online play
- Improve the tutorial prompts in “Walking Stick of Doom” to be more clear about available actions
- Various localization and subtitle fixes across all languages
Split Fiction is currently one of the highest-rated games of the year next to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Monster Hunter Wilds. Last month, director Josef Fares talked in some detail about live service games, stating that they’re “not the right way to go.” Instead, Fares and Hazelight Studios will continue to make traditional games or titles in the co-op genre.
Split Fiction is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
