The Spyro Universe, along with the help of other users spotted the teaser in the Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time art book where the page references a level in the current game. At the end of the quote, there’s the line “and a little hint at Spyro.” Upon further investigation, you can actually see a Spyro the Dragon figure in the art itself. To further prove the theory, there’s even “Spyro 4” text on the character.

Now, this could be nothing but then again, it could be something. We previously heard reports that Activision would revive the Crash Bandicoot series by releasing not only multiple remakes but also a sequel. In addition, a Spyro sequel has been rumoured for a while now and this could be the first confirmation of the game.
Previously, the publisher released either a Crash bandicoot or Spyro game every year so if a Spyro 4 video game is in development, we will most likely see it sometime in 2021. Activision clearly sees the benefit in working on both of these video game franchises and we don’t mind. We loved Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time and can’t wait to see where the Spyro game goes next.
