Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Announced For PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC

Respawn officially announced the much-rumoured Star Wars Jedi: Survivor over the weekend. The game is a direct sequel to the original Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and follows Cal Kestis on a whole new darker adventure.

The announcement came with a new CG trailer that shows Cal missing his lightsaber, abilities, friends and abilities. In the trailer, we see Cal meet with a Pau’an. Pau’ans are long-limbed humanoids that have appeared in multiple Star Wars shows and movies. They are also the same species as the Grand Inquisitor, the leader of the Jedi hunters that served under Darth Vader. If anything, this trailer might actually feature the Grand Inquisitor himself.

The trailer also features some mysterious characters including a cloaked figure that Cal faces off against as well as a pale figure in a specimen tank.

One thing to note is that Cal is missing his original lightsabers. You know, the ones he used in the previous game that could be combined together to form a larger one. While Respawn has yet to confirm why this happened, it is normal for video games to take everything away from you and make players start as a “fresh” character in a sequel. By the look of things, that is what is happening here.

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor

Respawn Entertainment confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is expected to launch in 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Don’t expect it on PS4. It is not happening.

Picking up five years after the events of STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order, Jedi: Survivor is a third person, narrative-driven action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.
