The upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will get an all-new difficulty option which wasn’t available in the first Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game. Respawn is calling this difficulty option Jedi Padawan making it the fifth difficulty you can choose from when jumping into Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on 28 April.
The new Jedi Padawan difficulty aims to be the middle ground between Story Mode and the Jedi Knight difficulty. According to Respawn, 40% of players chose Story Mode in the previous Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order with only a few gamers going for the Jedi Knight difficulty. This is likely due to the large skill gap between the two options.

The developers at Respawn wanted to introduce an option that wasn’t as tough as Jedi Knight but also wasn’t as easy as Story Mode. As a result, the Jedi Padawan was created. It acts as a better transition for players who are still new to the game and if anything, the soulslike genre.
