Starfield How to Start Shattered Space Expansion

Starfield – How to Start The Shattered Space Expansion

Yesterday, Bethesda released the Shattered Space DLC for its sci-fi RPG, Starfield. Players hoping to jump into the latest expansion might first need to complete a few tasks before heading off into uncharted territory. Here’s a quick step-by-step guide on how to start the Shattered Space expansion for Starfield and what level requirements are recommended beforehand.

First and foremost, you’ll need to purchase the Shattered Space DLC if you own the base game or the Xbox Game Pass version. Those who previously bought Starfield‘s Premium or Constellation editions will immediately get access to it. The only thing that’s required of you is to have completed the first mission of the game called One Small Step. Bethesda also recommends that players start the expansion at level 35, though it isn’t a strict requirement.

After you’ve completed the opening mission and worked your way up to level 35, you simply need to grav-jump to any orbit that doesn’t have a mission or encounter. You should receive a distress call as a large space station called The Oracle floats by in the distance. This will trigger the first mission of the Shattered Space expansion called What Remains.

We won’t be spoiling anything from this point regarding the DLC, so you’ll simply have to board The Oracle and follow the mission to continue the expansion.

The description for Starfield‘s Shattered Space expansion on Steam reads:

“Shattered Space is a new story expansion for Starfield, Bethesda Game Studios’ epic role-playing game and first new universe in more than twenty-five years. A mysterious power stirs in the city of Dazra on House Va’Ruun’s hidden homeworld. Investigate a frightening cosmic threat, explore a new planet, and find unique weapons, spacesuits, and gear in this all-new adventure.”

Starfield is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC. PlayStation owners may have to wait a while longer as previous reports claim that a PS5 version of the game will ‘eventually’ happen.
