Sony is hosting a PlayStation State of Play today to announce new games and provide updates on existing titles. In an announcement post, PlayStation says the stream will be over 40 minutes long and highlight a selection of great games from creators across the globe.
The State of Play kicks off at an ungodly hour in South Africa. If you want to watch it live, you can tune in at 23:00 SAST / 11pm CEST / 2pm PT / 5pm ET. The stream will be hosted on both the PlayStation YouTube and PlayStation Twitch accounts.
We don’t know what to expect from today’s State of Play, but Sony hasn’t announced much in terms of new game releases over the past few months. The only major PS5 exclusives right now are Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, which is expected to launch on 26 June, and Ghost of Yotei later this October.
Apart from that, we don’t know what else the company plans on releasing. The State of Play will likely play host to some big reveals. Given that it is Summer Game Fest week, and the Nintendo Switch 2 launch just an hour after Sony’s State of Play, the company likely needs to do something to make a noise amid the busy week.
We’ll share a full roundup of the big reveals after the stream.
