Valve will be adding some new features to Steam’s storefront search system soon allowing users to customize their searches bu removing games they already own from the results and even adding a price filter. Other new Steam search features include only selecting VR games (or removing them) along with a “highest price” and “lowest price” setting.

Valve announced the new rollout of features on the blog post where they explained that the new search filters will help users find games that they are looking for and whittle down the results to allow for an easier search experience. Features like removing games you already own from results, excluding and including specific tags and putting items on a wishlist or completely ignoring them from all search results in future.
Valve also announced that while users search through games, the client will automatically load the next page so it is ready when you want to flick through it. This will no doubt make searching faster and easier as there will be less time between each catalogue page.
Steam users and gamers all over have complained about the lacklustre search feature for a while now as Steam simply has too many games to go through. This will help make searching easier and by making use of the new filters, hopefully, users will find what they are looking for while avoiding the games they don’t want to see or know exist on the platform.
