Stellar Blade Project Eve PlayStation Details Gameplay Trailer

Stellar Blade Will Feature Three Graphics Modes

Stellar Blade, the upcoming PS5 action game from developer Shift Up, will feature three graphics modes at launch. Players will be able to priortise either framerate, resolution or a balance of the two in these options, giving you multiple ways to experience the game depending on your preferences.

Shift Up detailed the three graphics modes in a recent interview with PLAY3.DE (translated by Genki) where it spoke about Stellar Blade‘s performance, resolution and balanced options. Performance Mode will offer a smooth 60FPS with a slight knock to resolution, while Resolution Mode will give you 4K quality at a lower framerate. The third option is Balanced Mode, which combines framerate and resolution to find a middle-ground, though Shift Up didn’t make it clear what framerate/quality we can expect from this mode.

In other news, Stellar Blade recently received a mature 18+ rating in South Korea for violence and sexually explicit content. Shift Up previously revealed that the game’s main story will take players around 25 hours to beat, though completionists looking to do everything that the game has to offer can expect a 30-50 hour journey.

The official description for Stellar Blade reads:

“Save humanity from extinction in this electrifying story-driven action adventure. The future of humanity is balanced on the edge of a blade. Ravaged by strange, powerful creatures, Earth has been abandoned, and what is left of the decimated human race has fled to a Colony in outer space. After travelling from the Colony, Paratrooper Eve arrives on the desolate remains of our planet with a clear-cut mission: to save humankind by reclaiming Earth from the NA:tive – the malevolent force that has devastated it.”

Stellar Blade launches on 26 April 2024 exclusively for PS5. Make sure you check out the South African pre-order guide as well as the various editions that you can pre-purchase right now.
