Square Enix is not having the best time with its new game collaboration by Team Ninja. The publisher announced Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin last night along with a free PS5 trial and no one has been able to download the demo due to a corrupted file.
You would think that when releasing a demo during E3, one of the busiest weeks for gaming when all eyes were on you, your demo would work. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Shortly after the demo for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin went live, users started to report the game crashing as soon as they launched it from the PS5 home screen.

It was not until the reports went up on Twitter that the official Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin account noticed the broken demo. It has since been pulled from the PlayStation Store while the developers try and fix it. The official account responded to the issues saying:
We’re aware of issues being experienced while trying to download and play #StrangerOfParadise #FinalFantasy Origin Trial Version.
We’re working to resolve this issue and will tweet an update as soon as we can, we appreciate your patience.

But the Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin demo is not the only problem the developers are facing at the moment. Since the game’s announcement, fans and gamers, in general, have been targeting the project for its lack of visual polish, repetitive trailer and lacklustre story.
For starters, the excessive use of the word “Chaos” has sparked an internet meme. If you have watched the reveal trailer you would notice that the word is used eight times within a short period of time. A fan created a supercut for you in case you missed it.

There is also a lack of visual polish on Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin that has fans joking around with the game. The main character is cliche and features dull facial animations while the general visual style of the game reminds users of a PS3 game. The memes followed.
Sorry everyone, The Stranger Of Paradise demo is not running on PS5 because the console is not backwards compatible with PS3 games

Of course it is still too early to tell if the game is good or not. The demo, which was meant to be a way to experience this title is broken with no sign of a fix just yet. Hopefully, Square Enix can fix the demo and users can fight Chaos a few times and perhaps enjoy it?
