Netflix has released a video that takes us behind the scenes on the fifth and final season of its hit series, Stranger Things. Season 5 is currently still filming – according to Netflix, it’s about halfway done – though ahead of its arrival next year, we’ve been given a closer look at the happenings behind the camera and how the original cast are reuniting once more for the final adventure in Hawkins.
Actress Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven on Stranger Things, revealed that she was just 10-years old when she worked on the first season. Ten years have passed and now Brown reflects on the fact that she is now 20-years old, a sentiment shared by most of the cast who have grown with the series over the last decade. The behind the scenes look at season 5 shows plenty of promise as Netflix is going all-out with the scares, production and storytelling.
Details are scarce about the final season of Stranger Things but judging by the teaser video, it seems like Vecna will once again pose a great threat to the Hawkins club as the Upside Down seeps into the quiet little town.
The cast is stacked for season 5, with returning actors Finn Wolfhard as Mike, Winona Ryder as Joyce, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas, Natalia Dyer as Nancy, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan, Sadie Sink as Max, Maya Hawke as Robin and Joe Keery as Steve.
Some new actors will also be joining the cast for fifth season, including Terminator icon Linda Hamilton alongside Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly and Alex Breaux.
Netflix hasn’t announced a release date for Stranger Things season 5, though it might arrive in at least two parts like season 4. Actress Maya Hawke recently revealed that the final eight episodes are basically movies, teasing the massive length of each episode.
