Street Fighter 6 Gameplay Breakdown Capcom

Street Fighter 6 Will Have Special Animations for Perfect Victories

Capcom has revealed that its upcoming fighter, Street Fighter 6, will include special animations for characters who manage to score perfect victories. Each special animation will seemingly be unique to the selected character. The developer recently showcased the first special animation with Luke.

In past fighting games, getting a perfect victory in a round meant taking no damage. It’s something that many players usually strive for, though Street Fighter 6 is taking that to the next level by rewarding players who manage to pull it off.

Capcom showcased the first special animation at Japan Expo 2022 which highlighted Luke’s dance victory after a perfect round. It’s unclear at this point if special animations will trigger with other win conditions, such as winning with low health, or whether players will be able to pick and choose their own special animation for each character. However, it seems like it might be unique to your chosen fighter, so it will be interesting to see the rest in action.

Capcom officially announced Street Fighter 6 earlier this year, but released plenty of gameplay footage thanks to content creators getting early previews. The game is being built on Capcom’s acclaimed RE Engine and it shows through its striking, updated visuals, textures and smooth animations.

Street Fighter 6 currently does not have a concrete release date, but it’s expected to launch sometime in 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. In related news, Capcom is also working on a remake of Resident Evil 4 which is due in March next year as well as a recently announced sequel to Dragon’s Dogma. It’s rumoured that the company is also working on the sequel to 2018’s Monster Hunter World.
