Summer Game Fest returns this year with more world premieres, announcements and gaming industry excitement, replacing the annual slot typically reserved for the now-defunct E3. This June 2024 event promises to focus primarily on games releasing this year, according to host Geoff Keighley, so keep your expectations in check. Here’s when and where you can watch Summer Game Fest as well as what to expect.

Earlier this week, Geoff Keighley set some expectations for the show. In a Q&A, he responded to various fan questions, quickly ruling out the possibility of games like GTA 6, Kingdom Hearts 4 and other titles showing up at the event. The good news is there’s still a lot of games to look forward to from the event’s 55 partners including PlayStation, Xbox, WB Games, Ubisoft, EA Games and more.

Summer Game Fest is set to kick off tonight, 7 June at 2PM PT / 11PM CAT local time. On the plus side, at least it’s Saturday tomorrow which means you can stay up late tonight to catch the showcase.

Where to Watch

The official Summer Game Fest Twitter/X account revealed a list of places where you can watch tonight’s event. This includes YouTube, Twitch, Twitter/X and Steam. We’ve also embedded the livestream below for you, which is currently counting down to the event.

As for what you can expect, Keighley announced that the show will feature another look at Capcom’s hugely anticipated Monster Hunter Wilds. You can also expect to see Slitterhead, the new horror game from Bokeh Game Studio and Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama. Other reports claim that we’ll also get a reveal for Borderlands 4 at the show. There’s also a small chance that a new trailer for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, now officially retitled as Dragon Age: The Veilguard, will debut at the event ahead of its bigger gameplay reveal next week.
