Geoff Keighley has announced that Summer Game Fest will return to Los Angeles in June 2025 including Play Days that typically follows the show. This year’s Summer Game Fest event gave plenty of updates on upcoming games and reveals for highly anticipated releases coming in the next couple of years. Given the stacked schedule of 2025’s video game calendar, next year’s show should be promising.
Posting on Twitter/X, Geoff Keighley confirmed that Summer Game Fest will once again take place in June 2025 in Los Angeles, though no specific date has been announced just yet. 2024’s showcase took place on 7 June where we got new trailers for Monster Hunter Wilds, Civilization VII, LEGO Horizon Adventures, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, Batman: Arkham Shadow, Mecha Break, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Phantom Blade Zero, which was arguably the best announcement of the show.
Keighley previously stated that this year’s event would be a quieter one due to 2024 being a light year in the industry, though it’s still stacked with anticipated games like Metaphor: ReFantazio, Avowed, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Astro Bot, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle and others – all of which are scheduled to release before the end of the year.

2025 should be a different story, though. Next year is already lining up plenty of exciting games such as Grand Theft Auto 6, Fable and DOOM: The Dark Ages. Hopefully, next year’s Summer Game Fest will have a lot more surprise reveals and things to show than this year’s event.
