Super Mario 3D All-Stars Includes Three of the Best Mario Games Remastered For Switch

Nintendo is celebrating the 35th anniversary of Super Mario in some new exciting ways this year. The first of which is a re-release called Super Mario 3D All-Stars and includes three of the best 3D Super Mario games released in history. Players can look forward to experiencing Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, and the classic Super Mario 64 all on their Nintendo Switch later this month.

The Super Mario 3D All-Stars is the first of many new games releasing to celebrate the plumber’s iconic existence. Nintendo plans to remaster Super Mario 3D World in a special “+ Bowser’s Fury” package set to release in February next year. However, this triple-pack collection of games is for those who wish to revisit the classics.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars features optimized versions of Super Mario 64, Galaxy, and Sunshine. In addition, the collection includes an in-game music players mode to play the songs from all three games. Each game includes updated Joy-Con support with rumble. However, owners of the Switch Lite console will have to use additional Joy-Con controllers if they want to make use of the Co-Star mode in Super Mario Galaxy.

Nintendo announced that the collection will receive a limited physical release and the game will only be on sale until 31 March 2021. For some reason, Nintendo will pull the game off the eShop on 1 April 2021 and users will no longer purchase it. It kind of sounds as if you need to buy this as soon as possible to avoid never owning it… a strange tactic indeed. Regardless, the game is available to pre-order now from the eShop for R1,129. The collection releases on 18 September 2020 only on Switch.
