Nintendo is bringing the Super Mario Strikers GameCube game to the Switch 2 next week. On 3 July, Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion subscribers will be able to download the classic game through the GameCube app. It should be live from 3 July.
This is the first new addition to the GameCube app since the Nintendo Switch 2 console launched on 5 June. At launch, the app included Soulcalibur 2, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, and F-Zero GX.
Nintendo plans on adding even more games to the service in the coming months. New additions will include Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness and Super Mario Sunshine.
Super Mario Strikers is one of the better sports games in the Mario series. While it was recently “remade” for the original Switch console in the form of Mario Strikers: Battle League, the GameCube version was where the series made its debut.
