Warner Bros Discovery already has a logline for Superman: Legacy which you can read below:

“Superman: Legacy tells the story of Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”

In a previous press conference, Gunn talked about exploring Superman’s innocence and how he would not hurt anyone. “His greatest weakness is that he’ll never kill anybody, [and] doesn’t want to hurt a living soul. And I like that sort of innate goodness about Superman as his defining characteristic,” said Gunn. In contrast, Zack Snyder also explored similar themes for the character in his 2013 movie Man of Steel, which resulted in a pretty dark ending for the superhero where he had to make a tough choice.

With Gunn and co-runner Peter Safran at the helm of DC Studios, fans are feeling confident about the new vision for DC and what it will take to compete with Marvel Studios on equal footing.
