Sony has announced that two major upcoming games will launch day 1 on PlayStation Plus this April. The first is the metroidvania side-scroller Tales of Kenzera: Zau. We recently covered this game during a special hands-on preview and fought the Tokoloshe. The game has been developed by Surgent Studios, founded by Abubakar Salim.
Tales of Kenzera: Zau is a 2.5D story-driven, action-exploration game all about facing those emotions and discovering how love gives us the courage to press on after a devastating loss, and it’s coming to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog at launch on 23 April. The game is available for PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe members.
The second game launching in April on the PlayStation Plus service is Dave the Diver. It will launch on the Game Catalogue on 16 April for Extra and Deluxe members. Dave the Diver is a unique hybrid ocean adventure that combines ocean exploration with sushi restaurant management. At the heart of the game lies the core gameplay loop, narrative, characters, and captivating mini-games.
Dave the Diver has been available on PC and other platforms already so this is the game’s debut on PS5. On the PlayStation Blog, Minrocket shared details on the PS5 enhancements you can look forward to including haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support.
We set out to present different gameplay elements to create a new kind of experience, mixing everything from culinary showdowns to rhythmic reveries. And, of course, it’s all brought to life by a cast of charming characters. Additionally, Dave the Diver on PS5 features haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for increased sensory engagement. Navigate the mysterious depths and feel the delicate vibrations in the variety of mini-games that await exploration in the deep-sea!
Of course, there are still some unannounced games headed to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue in April. Sony will likely share more details on the rest of the games in the coming weeks. Keep in mind that the Essentials lineup is available from today. It includes Immortals of Aveum, Minecraft Legends and Skul: The Hero Slayer.
