Of course, anyone who knows Julia Anastasopoulos by now is proud of this South African actress for making waves locally and on YouTube. Tali says that the upcoming season of Tali’s Baby Diary will be weirder and wilder than Season 1. Tali, in her recent Instagram video, says that the wedding day was just twenty-four hours and having a baby is a totally different ball game:
“Season 2 is definitely weirder and wilder than Season 1. I joke about the fact that I’m glad that we got married before having a baby because the wedding just becomes so obsolete – it’s so distant in my memory, I can’t believe it was such a big thing in my life. It was just twenty-four hours, and having a baby is a totally different ball game.”
Tali’s Baby Diary is a locally-filmed and produced show by popular streaming platform Showmax. The full season is set to launch on the platform on 26 February 2021. The current season was filmed in the middle of the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. Much of the behind-the-scenes footage touched on the challenges that came with creating the show amid the lockdown and restrictions.
In the hilarious mockumentary, an unexpected pregnancy forces Tali (Anastasopoulos) into a desperate pivot from Insta-influencer to wholesome momfluencer, as Darren (Taylor) and Rael (Biderman-Pam) navigate the choppy waters of the Cape Town property game. But as the nine-month clock ticks down, Tali and the boys are forced to face the bigger questions about life, love and parenthood…
