Comic Con Africa has suffered its first cancellation at the show. This morning guest star Tati Gabrielle announced that she will no longer be attending the convention which is set to kick off on 22 September.
In a video posted to Twitter, Tati explains that she has had to cancel her tour to South Africa to attend Comic Con Africa due to “work complications”. Tati followed up by saying she hopes all the attendees have a great time and she is sending her love.
Of course, this does mean those ticket buyers who purchased specific meet and greet and photograph opportunities with Tati Gabrielle will be refunded their purchases. The organizers of the show will likely be in contact soon to arrange these refunds.
While Tati Gabrielle’s cancellation is sad news, it also doesn’t come as a huge surprise. Often these guest stars have rather intense calendars and book conventions around filming new movies and shows. Tati Gabrielle is adding to the infamous Anthony Mackie cancellation which took place two years in a row at Comic Con Africa 2018 and 2019.
