Dreamleague Season 10 kicks off at the end of this month, 29 October. It will be the first Minor of this Dota Pro Circuit season and it is quite a big deal if you ask me. Not only does the tournament boast a $300,000 prize pool, but the winner also gets an invite to the Kuala Lumpur Major. This final spot at the Major won’t be going to Team Liquid, as they have decided to drop out of DreamLeague Season 10.
For those new to the Dota 2 scene, Team Liquid is are the champions of The International 2017 and after a great performance at The International 2018 as well as throughout the 2017/2018 DPC, they are considered a top tier team. Not to mention they are a fan favourite, so it is quite disappointing to hear they will not be attending.
Team Liquid announced this move on Twitter, citing “health reasons” for pulling out of the DreamLeague Season 10 Minor.
Unfortunately we will not be attending the DreamLeague Minor at the end of this month for health-related reasons.
GLHF to the teams still attending!

Team Liquid managed to qualify for DreamLeague Season 10 via the European Qualifiers last month, taking one of the two slots for the region. Now, Team Lithium (third place in EU Qualifiers) will take their place as announced by the DreamLeague organizers.
The eight teams that will compete in DreamLeague Season 10 are:
- compLexity Gaming
- The Final Tribe
- Team Lithium
As you can see, there aren’t really top tier teams remaining in the tournament. I will probably shout of Na’Vi just so I can write an article entitled “Na’Vi is back”. The grand finals take place on 4 November, which should be a pretty interesting watch.
What do you think about Liquid’s move to drop out of the first Minor of the season and which team will you be shouting for? Let us know in the comment section below.
