Techland Shares Dying Light 2025 Content Roadmap as Franchise Celebrates 10 Years

Techland has detailed what is coming to both Dying Light and Dying Light 2 in the coming weeks as the franchise celebrates its 10th anniversary. The studio will release multiple events spanning multiple weeks. In addition, players can look forward to the permanent release of the Tower Raid rogue-lite mode in Dying Light 2. Up to now, the mode has arrived sporadically and at limited times.

The content headed to the original Dying Light game isn’t remotely exciting. The events include the return of Low Gravity, Super-Crane, and Viral Rush. However, there is a free special skin bundle coming to the game which is available until 10 February.

Dying Light 2, on the other hand, is getting three gear drops starting on 5 February and ending on 26 February. During this time, you can complete new bounties on the Pilgrim Outpost and earn two blueprints per week. There are three weapons and three charms to collect.

The Tower Raid is then coming to Dying Light 2 permanently on 19 February. This means players can jump into the mode whenever they want and earn the rewards at any time. To add – Dying Light 2 is also on sale now to celebrate the 10th anniversary. You can pick the game up at 67% off across all platforms.

In addition to the content for both games, Techland has detailed the “bigger” updates coming to Dying Light 2 in the year ahead. The 2025 roadmap includes the Spring Update, which is the Tower Raid content. There’s also a Summer Event, the usual Halloween event, and Winter Tales Christmas event.

The developer also says Dying Light 2 will get co-op enhancements and matchmaking, community map support, new Tower Raid characters, new weapons and firearms, a whole new weapon class, prologue improvements, free outfits and gear, and graphical improvements throughout the year.

Lastly, Dying Light: The Beast is scheduled to launch in the middle of all of this content. The once-planned DLC pack has been turned into a full game now. It will launch sometime between June and September. Techland is expected to announce more about the game during its Light Up The Night stream on 19 February.
