Tekken 8 Release April 2024 Bandai Namco

Tekken 8 Character Roster Leaked Through Network Test – Report

Bandai Namco recently held a closed network test for its anticipated upcoming fighting game, Tekken 8, which gave select players access to a handful of previously announced characters as part of the starting roster. However, a new leak may have revealed a list of unannounced characters too after dataminers dug into the game’s files, revealing Yoshimitsu, Raven and more.

As reported by Video Games Chronicle, dataminers used Cheat Engine to unearth the potential list of characters coming to Tekken 8. These include all the previously announced fighters as well as a few that haven’t been announced such as Yoshimitsu and Zafina. Interestingly, the datamined list also mentions Raven and not Master Raven, meaning it will likely be the original Raven that makes a return in this entry.

Below is the list of characters dataminers were able to find in the Network Test files for Tekken 8. The bolded characters were already announced while the others have yet to be revealed:

  • Paul Phoenix
  • Marshall Law
  • King
  • Hwoarang
  • Ling Xiaoyu
  • Jin Kazama
  • Bryan Fury
  • Lili
  • Lars Alexandersson
  • Claudio Serafino
  • Nina Williams
  • Leroy Smith
  • Kazuya Mishima
  • Jack-8
  • Asuka Kazama
  • Jun Kazama
  • Yoshimitsu
  • Shaheen
  • Raven (Default Type A)
  • Zafina (Default Type A)
  • Steve (Default Type A)
  • Alisa (Default Type A)

The last six fighters will likely be revealed sometime in the future with some fans predicting that a new character will be shown at the upcoming fighting game tournament, Evo.

Keep in mind, it’s possible that this list doesn’t include the entire roster of characters as Bandai Namco could very well announce new characters as well. Yoshimitsu is a fan-favourite among the community and it’s great to see Shaheen making a return alongside Zafina and Steve. However, Raven is one of the biggest surprises. The popular character was replaced by Master Raven in Tekken 7, though she contained many similar moves.

Tekken 8 is currently in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
