The Tekken 8 demo is very different from the previous beta tests. The tests focused on server stability and player feedback regarding the rollback netcode feature. However, this demo is more of a package which you’ll be able to download at any time to test out the game. So even if you don’t pick Tekken 8 up at launch, you can simply download the demo before you’re itching to make the purchase.

The opening chapter of the Tekken 8 demo will also give players a look at how the story develops. The game is set six months after the events of Tekken 7 and the first chapter will tie into this story arc.

From what we know, the Tekken 8 story focuses on the Mishima feud. Specifically on Kazuya and his son Jin. Tekken 8 is scheduled to launch on 26 January for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The demo is playable on all those platforms too. Be sure to check out our local pre-order guide for all the different versions of the game you can pick up.
