Tekken 8 Jin Kazama Gameplay Trailer

Tekken 8 Showcases Jin Kazama in New Gameplay Trailer

Bandai Namco has released a new gameplay video for its upcoming fighter, Tekken 8, this time showcasing the poster child of the franchise, Jin Kazama. The gameplay offers a glimpse into Jin’s upgraded combos while still maintaining many of his signature attacks paired with the game’s new mechanics. The trailer for Jin arrives just a week after Bandai Namco showcased his father, Kazuya Mishima, in another gameplay video.

The latest trailer for Tekken 8 shows Jin in action, who has been a staple character of the series since Tekken 3. Jin still maintains a lot of his signature moves and attacks including Corpse Thrust, Hell Sweep and Thrust Kick. However, the new Heat system in Tekken 8 turns his combos into aggressive flurries with some pretty awesome style and flare. Veteran players of Jin will surely find a lot familiar here but also new things to learn when the full game launches.

Last time, Kazuya was shown punishing Jin with his gameplay demonstration but it looks like Jin has turned the tables on his father this time. In addition to the more aggressive style of gameplay, Jin has also received new pre and post-fight poses. Like Kazuya, Jin is able to harness his Devil powers in combat without ever needing to fully transform into Devil Jin. The mixup potential will be interesting and it looks like it integrates very well into his move set.

Judging by the rate of trailers, it seems like we may be getting one new character trailer per week for Tekken 8, hopefully leading up to a big release date announcement. So far, Kazuya Mishima, Jin Kazama and Nina Williams have all been shown in their own dedicated gameplay videos. That leaves other fighters like King, Paul Phoenix, Jun Kazama, Lars Alexandersson, Jack and Marshall Law who have yet to receive gameplay trailers. Hopefully there are more character reveals planned for later too.

Tekken 8 is currently in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out the latest Jin gameplay below.
