Nacon has delayed the upcoming Terminator Survivors game to 2025. The game was originally meant to launch on 24 October but Nacon says the dev team need more time to get it ready. Keep in mind that the original October launch date was for the early access release of Terminator Survivors.
In a statement, Nacon says the news of the delay may disappoint fans but the team is confident the extra time will be well-spent.
We are working very hard to bring the post-apocalyptic world of Terminator™ to life. Our goal is to create a deep immersive experience where each decision you make is crucial
to your surviving. Over the past few months, we’ve been really impressed by your enthusiasm and amazed by the response to our announcements, and we know how eagerly fans are awaiting Terminator: Survivors. To realize our vision, and to make sure to deliver the game that fits your expectations, we need some additional time. Thus, we will be pushing the launch to 2025. We know that this will be a disappointment to many, but we want to do right by this universe, its fans, and our community. In the long term we believe this is the right call.
Terminator Survivor was announced back in 2022. It is described as a cutthroat multiplayer game set after the events of Judgement Day. In terms of the series’ story, it takes players before the events where John Connor forms the Skynet resistance group.
Players will explore a war-torn open-world with up to three friends as they fight both human enemies and Terminators. Nacon says the game is set in an unexplored timeline in the Terminator series with a completely original storyline that includes known and new characters.
At the moment there’s no new release date for the game. It will launch on PC in early access first sometime in 2025.
