The first animated Terminator is headed to Netflix soon and the streaming service just dropped the official teaser trailer for the show. Terminator Zero has been produced by the anime studio Production I.G and starts streaming on 29 August. The studio is especially known for 1995 Ghost in the Shell release.
The show follows the story of a resistance fighter who is sent back in the past to 1997. She is tasked to protect a scientist who is developing an AI that can compete with Skynet.
Very little else is known about Terminator Zero at this time. The trailer does give us a good look at some of the characters and scnees. There’s going to be a lot of explosions and action. Not to mention the Terminator.
The voice cast includes André Holland, Rosario Dawson, Ann Dowd, and Sonoya Mizuno, along with Timothy Olyphant as the Terminator.
Terminator Zero is the latest offering from Netflix as the service expands into animation shows and movies. The service has multiple projects in development including Tomb Raider, Devil May Cry and Minecraft. The service want to cater to anime fans while also keeping those Stranger Things nuts around.
