Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Delayed 2024

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Seemingly Delayed to 2024

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, the upcoming open-world racing game from developer Kylotonn and publisher Nacon, has seemingly been delayed to the first quarter of 2024. The news comes from the publisher’s recent financial reports which lists the game as releasing in 2024 despite originally aiming for a 2023 release. Nacon has yet to officially announce a delay though if this is accurate, it marks yet another major delay for the racer.

As spotted by Proteus Gaming, Nacon’s recent financial report lists Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown with a release window of Q1 2024. It’s still being advertised as coming to PS4 and Xbox One, though the listing reveals that the platforms are TBC. The game’s website still lists it as having a 2023 release though that might change as soon as Nacon confirms the delay.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is the latest entry in the Test Drive racing series that first began several generations ago. The latest title is set on a 1:1 scale of Hong Kong Island, promising a massive open-world where you’ll be able to race with friends online. The official description reads:

“The brand new Test Drive Unlimited keeps the DNA from the first games, and revamps it for the modern era. You have the freedom to progress however you like, the classic open championship concept returns too. Live your best life. Race, cruise, and hang out with your friends until the sun goes down and even after!”

Nacon’s financial report mentions that the game will feature over 100 licensed prestige car brands though doesn’t mention which ones we can expect.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown was first announced back in 2020 and was originally set to release in September 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. A delay pushed the title to an unknown date in 2023, though it looks like another delay announcement is imminent.
