Popular Japanese-Australian anime YouTuber and content creator Joey “The Anime Man” Bizinger has been confirmed as one of the international guests attending Comic Con Africa 2023. The Anime Man will be joining Akidearest at this year’s show, who was the first international guest to be announced last month.
Known for his entertaining and insight content on YouTube regarding anime, manga and Japanese culture, The Anime Man has amassed a following of over 3.3 million subscribers. The Anime Man is also a co-host of the popular Trash Taste podcast alongside other well-known anime YouTubers Gigguk and CDawgVA – a weekly podcast that touches upon trending topics, culture, anime, manga, fandoms, gaming and much more.

Starting off as a relatively small anime channel on YouTube in the mid-2010s, The Anime Man grew into a highly influential figure in the online anime community over the past decade. He frequently collaborates with big YouTube content creators such as PewDiePie, Sydsnap, Abroad in Japan and more.
As of writing, some of The Anime Man’s most popular videos include “REAL VS. FAKE ANIME CHALLENGE” which featured PewDiePie, “GUESS THE ANIME SONG” featuring a number of anime content creators, “7 Types of Anime Fans” and “Roasting Massive YouTuber’s HORRIBLE Taste in Anime” which featured popular creators such as MrBeast and Sniper Wolf.
In related news, the first phase of tickets for Comic Con Africa 2023 is set to end on 30 June so book now to avoid disappointment. Eager attendees will be able to purchase tickets in phase 1 from R190 a day or R660 for all four days of the event.
