The Batman Movie Delayed Along With Other Warner Bros DC Movies

The Batman along with other upcoming Warner Bros. DC films will not be making their scheduled debut. The company has been forced to push up its entire DC film lineup due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the films are still in early production, the pandemic has caused major delays worldwide which has affected the film industry drastically.

The Batman was initially set to release in theatres on 25 June 2021 but has now been push back until 1 October 2021. According to Deadline, The Flash will now release sooner on 2 June 2022 moving up by one month from its initial 1 July 2022 release date.

Shazam 2 has been hit with a massive delay. The film has been pushed back from its initial release on 1 April 2022 to 4 November 2022. The only Warner Bros. DC film not on the list of delays is the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984. The studio did not give a release date or delay on the next instalment in the series. The film was recently delayed from its June release to August so it seems it may still open on 14 August 2020 at the time of writing. However, as things are going, Wonder Woman 1984 may not make its release.

These delays come at no surprise as the COVID-19 pandemic has restricted not only the production of upcoming films but current movie releases too. We will see movie delays well into the future as the world fights and recovers from this deadly pandemic. The Batman movie is looking great so far. We have seen a sneak peek of both the Batmobile and Robert Pattinson’s Batman Suit.
