If you have yet to jump into Apex Legends Season 8 then you are in for a treat. The current season just so happens to align with the game’s second anniversary and Chinese New Year all at the same time. This means that Respawn Entertainment and EA decided to combine it all into one massive content-packed season. Players can obtain loads of cosmetic items through the Season 8 battle pass while at the same time purchase skins, emotes and other cosmetics with real money or in-game currency which are all themed around Chinese New Year.

But with so many things to choose from, the best-looking cosmetics in the Apex Legends Season 8 pass can easily be overlooked. This is why we decided to put together our top ten of the best Apex Legends Season 8 cosmetics. This includes ten battle pass items and ten anniversary-themed items. Keep in mind that players can directly unlock anniversary items using currency or they can obtain them in the Collection Packs.

Best Apex Legends Season 8 Cosmetics

1 30-30 Repeater Wings of Salvo Skin (Epic)

Out favourite skin from the new Season 8 Battle Pass has to be the 30-30 Reaper Wings of Salvo skin. It is not only a cool-looking skin but is also a pretty great way to show off one of the best new weapons added into the game in a while. We just think the combination of the gun being so awesome makes us love this skin even more.

2 Flatline Chained Beast Skin (Legendary)

The Chained Beast Skin for Flatline gives us some real Bulletstorm meet Borderlands vibes. The red frame coupled with the spikes makes it look pretty badass. While the chains have no real purpose and aren’t even holding the gun together, they make for a stylish accessory.

3 Longbow Blinding Light Skin (Legendary)

This skin makes the Longbow look like something right out of the Halo series and is a far reach away from everything Apex Legends stands for. It is crazy how the gun changes so drastically from this skin to the next (which you will see in a bit).

4 Skydive Perpetual Motion Emote (Epic)

The Apex Legends Season 8 Battle Pass includes some pretty awesome emotes starting off with this Portal-inspired one. I would totally just fly through a portal like this if I could. Then one would vanish and I would have gained enough momentum to skyrocket me off of this corona-ridden planet.

5 Bangalore Radical Action Skin (Legendary)

The skins in the current season of Apex Legends are kinda meh if you ask me so a skin appearing so down in the list should not surprise you. Compared to the anniversary skins, these look like half-jobs. Anyway, this is not too bad. The blue shoulder pad coupled with the metal guards on the legs makes it look quite cool.

6 Skydive Black Swan Emote (Legendary)

Gotta love some ol’ sky-skating through the air, right? This Black Swan Dive emote is as extra as you could get in this season.

7 Skydive Swing and a Miss Emote (Epic)

I loved the idea of this emote; swinging through the air while grappling off levitating items. Sure, it is quite basic too but it is just ironic that a “skydive emote” is actually a grappling one.

8 Lifeline Bad to the Bone Skin (Legendary)

Yeah, seen it before. Basic and just okay I guess. I am not sure what is going on with her skirt/pants thing that looks like a pirate coat?

9 Longbow DMR X-1 Skin (Legendary)

Remember that awesome Halo-looking skin? Well, you first get that and then this ugly thing. Green on a gun? Cliche much? I could not wrap my head around this as a level 100 rewards. No…

10 Lifeline leader of the Pack Banner Frame (Epic)

If you get to level 71, your hard work is all rewarded with a banner frame for Lifeline… Joy. I am just not a fan of banners in general.

Best Apex Legends Season 8 Anniversary Collection Cosmetics

1 Gibraltar Golden God Skin (Legendary)

Look at this skin! This is how you do a skin, developers! It feeds me freaky communist commander of a robot empire vibes and I live!! Although the Anniversary cosmetics include loads of awesome skins, this has to be my favourite one of all.

2 Bloodhound Hunter’s Moon Skin (Legendary)

Of course, my second favourite one is Bloodhound’s Hunter’s Moon skin. This is mainly thanks to his mask on this outfit. Respawn clearly designed this with inspiration from Chinese owl dynasties. It looks very similar to the Japanese folklore spirit Tatarimokke but this a Chinese New Year event so that can’t be right. Can it?

3 Wingman Dragon’s Wing Skin (Legendary)

The Wingman Dragon’s Wing skin is awesome (although all the gun skins in this collection are superb). The fire, the red and gold. It is a rather flashy skin.

4 Octane El Tigre Skin (Legendary)

While the name “El Tigre” is of Mexican reference the Octane skin is quite a looker. This is especially thanks to the mask which looks like a high-end wrestler’s helmet which he never takes off as he power-drives his opponents into the ground.

5 Wraith Hellcat Skin (Legendary)

I love a hoodie and a mask combination. I try to opt for it whenever I can in a video game and this combination of gold, black and red really pops throughout Wraith’s Hellcat skin.

6 Crypto Awoken Fury Skin (Legendary)

This skin sort of looks like that leader in that Chinese mafia who never really does anything but look cool. However, you don’t want to test him because that weapon on his back is not just there for show. Meanwhile, you cross his path and you have a fabulous fight at the top of his massive Chinese temple home under the full moon sky.

7 Caustic Mad King Skin (Legendary)

If you were looking for a Han Dynasty-inspired skin in Apex Legends then this Mad King skin for Caustic is it. It is one of the most intimidating outfits in the collection and suits the Legend perfectly.

8 Peacekeeper Breach of the Peace Skin (Epic)

The Peacekeeper Breach of the Peace skin is great. The movement of the skin makes it look fantastic as you pump bullets into your enemies.

The Best of Apex Legends Season 8 and 2nd Anniversary Cosmetic Items

9 Prowler Redline Skin (Epic)

Most of the weapon skins in the collection can start to look samey after a while. This is one of them. It looks great don’t get me wrong but it can’t compete with the Peacekeeper and Wingman.

The Best of Apex Legends Season 8 and 2nd Anniversary Cosmetic Items

10 Spitfire Phoenix Fire Skin (Epic)

Just because this is number ten does not mean it is bad. It’s a pretty cool skin but there’s too much happening to enjoy it. Every attachment and screw is a different colour and it takes away from the design.
