The Boys, the hit Amazon superhero series, will conclude with the fifth and final season in 2026. Actor Karl Urban, who plays Billy Butcher on the show, confirmed that season 5 will arrive in two years time, pinning it for release in 2026. Additionally, The Boys spin-off series Gen V is aiming for a 2025 release window for season 2.
Karl Urban recently posted on Instagram about his experience working with Jeffrey Dean Morgan on season 4 of The Boys. However, he added that season 5 will arrive in 2026, leaving fans with season 4’s cliffhanger ending for another couple of years. “See you in… two years (wish it was sooner) for the final season,” Urban wrote on Instagram.
As reported by The Wrap, season 2 of Gen V, a spin-off of The Boys which follows a younger ensemble as they deal with Vought and being supes, is scheduled to release in 2025. The first season received positive reviews from fans and critics as one of the better spin-off shows in recent memory. While it’s not required viewing to enjoy The Boys, Gen V will certainly enhance your experience if you understand and recognise certain characters.
‘GEN V’ Season 2 is aimed to release in 2025.

The description for The Boys reads:
“The world’s most powerful superheroes (‘Supes’) are secretly bending society to its whims, until the underdog team ‘The Boys’, victims of the ‘Supes’, conjure up a plan to take down ‘The Seven’ and ‘Vought International’ once and for all. Fighting a never ending conspiracy of corporate espionage, deep-cutting secrets and nigh-Godly figures, ‘The Boys’ will do whatever it takes to save the world from its corrupt ‘superheroes’ before they become unstoppable–or die trying.”
All four season of The Boys including season 1 of Gen V are now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
