Ubisoft has announced that The Crew 2 will be getting a free upgrade that enhances the game for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The developer says that in July this year, an update will be issued that will unlock a 60FPS mode for the newer hardware while also enhancing weather modifications.
Keep in mind that this update won’t provide a so-called “enhanced” version of The Crew 2 to players. Instead, this update will still be for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game but modified for the newer systems. So users won’t have to download a whole new version of the game. The Crew 2 will simply enhance the game automatically when played on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

This isn’t the first game Ubisoft has enhanced with this 60FPS mode. The studio released a 60FPS update for Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey last year and is currently working on a 60FPS mode for Assassin’s Creed: Origins too.
By the look of things, Ubisoft is determined to improve older games for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S without porting them over to the console hardware. Sure, it would be nice to have a full enhanced version but a 60FPS mode is also ideal.
Ubisoft has yet to share an exact date for this update.
