After a recent massive leak, it looks like Ubisoft has decided to officially unveil The Crew 3 as The Crew Motorfest. A teaser trailer showing in-engine 4K footage accompanied the reveal confirming that it will release sometime in 2023, but no concrete gameplay was shown.
As the previous leak correctly predicted, The Crew Motorfest will be set on the island of O’ahu in Hawaii and seems to feature a more vibrant, colourful style than previous games. Players will be able to race through various interesting biomes including forest areas, sandy tropical beaches, volcanic slopes, bustling cities and mountain trails.

The official description of The Crew Motorfest reads:
“Newest iteration in The Crew franchise, The Crew Motorfest brings you to a new open world inspired by the Hawaiian island of O’ahu. Book your ticket for a one-of-a-kind car festival and get ready for a celebration of the best of car culture, featuring an unparalleled diversity of game modes and immersive driving experiences.”
The Crew Motorfest seems to be taking notes from Forza Horizon‘s racing festival premise as well. “This one-of-a-kind festival will let players enjoy the best experiences car culture has to offer,” reads the press release. “Motorfest will allow car lovers to fulfil their ultimate action driving bucket list through a series of tailor-made races, themed events, and other unique challenges.”
It’s unclear if The Crew Motorfest will see the return of the world bending feature briefly used in The Crew 2. Players applauded the unique mechanic but unfortunately it wasn’t used to its full potential, so we’re hoping that Ubisoft has listened to fans and doubled down on it.
Ubisoft told fans to keep their eyes peeled for more information in the coming months. The game will likely reappear in a Ubisoft Forward event or have a massive update that confirms its 2023 release date. Check out the reveal trailer for The Crew Motorfest below.
